The issue

Issue: On certain motorhomes, the fuel rail assembly could develop a leak. Note: This recall only affects motorhomes equipped with a Cummins L9 diesel engine. Safety Risk: A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Cummins will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a Cummins authorized service center to inspect the fuel rail. If damage is found, the fuel rail and fuel lines will be replaced. If no damage is found, the fuel rail will be reassembled with new crush washers using a special tool.

Problème : Sur certaines autocaravanes, l'assemblage de la rampe d'alimentation en carburant pourrait fuir. Remarque : Ce rappel ne concerne que les autocaravanes équipées d'un moteur diesel Cummins L9. Risques pour la sécurité : Une fuite de carburant peut entraîner un risque d'incendie. Mesures correctives : Cummins doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur autocaravane à un centre de services Cummins autorisé pour faire inspecter la rampe d'alimentation. Si des dommages sont constatés, la rampe d'alimentation et les canalisations seront remplacés. Si aucun dommage n'est constaté, la rampe d'alimentation sera réassemblée en installant de nouvelles rondelles de compression à l'aide d'un outil spécial.
