The issue
Issue: On certain trailers equipped with a Dexter Smart-Steer 2.0 self-steering axle, the bolts that attach the steer arm to the knuckle could break. If this happens, the steer arm or the bolts could detach from the trailer. Safety Risk: Parts that detach from the trailer could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Midland Manufacturing will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a Dexter Canada authorized service facility to weld the steer arms to the knuckles.

Problème : Sur certaines remorques équipées d'un essieu autovireur Smart-Steer 2.0 de Dexter, les boulons qui fixent le bras de direction au porte-fusée pourraient se briser. Si cela se produit, le bras de direction ou les boulons pourraient se détacher de la remorque. Risques pour la sécurité : Des pièces qui se détachent de la remorque pourraient créer un danger pour les autres usagers de la route et augmenter les risques d'accident. Mesures correctives : Midland Manufacturing doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur remorque à un centre de service autorisé de Dexter Canada pour souder les bras de direction aux porte-fusées.
