The issue

Issue: On certain hybrid vehicles, a software error with the hybrid powertrain control module (HPCM) may cause the powertrain to shut down. If this happens, both the engine and electric motor can turn off, and cause a loss of power to the wheels. Safety Risk: A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Nissan will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to reprogram the HPCM.

Problème : Sur certains véhicules hybrides, une erreur logicielle du module de commande du groupe motopropulseur hybride (HPCM) pourrait entraîner l'arrêt du groupe motopropulseur. Si cela se produisait, le moteur thermique et le moteur électrique pourraient s'arrêter, ce qui entraînerait une perte de puissance aux roues. Risques pour la sécurité : Une perte de puissance aux roues pourrait augmenter les risques d'accident. Mesures correctives : Nissan doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'apporter leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire afin de faire reprogrammer le HPCM.
