The issue

Issue: On certain competition vehicles, the torsion spring for the shifter may not have been made properly and could move out of place. If this happens, the transmission could shift gears unintentionally, and you could lose control of the motorcycle. Safety Risk: A loss of control can create the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Yamaha will contact owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorcycle to a dealer to replace the torsion spring.

Problème : Sur certains véhicules de compétition, le ressort de torsion du levier de vitesses peut ne pas avoir été fabriqué correctement et pourrait se déplacer. Si cela se produit, la transmission pourrait changer de vitesse de façon involontaire, ce qui pourrait entraîner une perte de maîtrise de la motocyclette. Risques pour la sécurité : Une perte de maîtrise peut créer un risque d'accident. Mesures correctives : Yamaha doit communiquer avec les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur motocyclette chez un concessionnaire pour faire remplacer le ressort de torsion.
