The issue

Issue: On certain trucks, the spline teeth in the windshield wiper arm(s) could wear and break. If this happens, the windshield wipers may not work properly. Safety Risk: Windshield wipers that don't not work could affect a driver's visibility and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) will notify the owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a DTNA authorized service facility to inspect, and if necessary, replace the windshield wiper arm(s) and linkage parts.

Problème : Sur certains camions, les cannelures du ou des bras d'essuie-glace peuvent se détériorer et se briser. Si cela se produisait, les essuie-glaces pourraient ne pas fonctionner correctement. Risques pour la sécurité : Des essuie-glaces qui ne fonctionnent pas pourraient nuire à la visibilité du conducteur et augmenter les risques d'accident. Mesures correctives : Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur camion à un centre de services autorisé DTNA pour faire inspecter et, au besoin, remplacer les bras d'essuie-glace et les pièces de la tringlerie.
