The issue

Issue: On certain motorhomes, the hydraulic cylinder that moves the slide-out room may have a defective inner seal. As result, the slide-out room could extend from the motorhome while parked, or in rare cases, while driving. Note: Defective hydraulic cylinders list a manufacturing date that is before 03/01/2022 on the body of the cylinder. Safety Risk: A slide-out room that extends from the motorhome while driving could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Tiffin will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealership to inspect, and if necessary, replace the hydraulic cylinder.

Problème : Sur certaines autocaravanes, un joint interne dans le cylindre hydraulique qui commande l'extension coulissante pourrait être défectueux. Par conséquent, l'extension coulissante pourrait s'ouvrir lorsque l'autocaravane est stationnée ou, dans de rares cas, pendant la conduite. Remarque : La date de fabrication affichée sur le corps des cylindres hydrauliques défectueux est antérieure au 03/01/2022. Risques pour la sécurité : Une extension coulissante qui s'ouvre pendant la conduite pourrait augmenter les risques d'accident. Mesures correctives : Tiffin doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur autocaravane chez un concessionnaire pour faire inspecter le cylindre hydraulique et le remplacer au besoin.
