The issue

Issue: On certain motorhomes, the engine air intake box may be missing a drain. As a result, water can build up inside the air intake box and enter the engine. If this happens, the engine could fail suddenly. Safety Risk: A sudden engine failure could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, add a drain to the engine air intake box.

Problème : Sur certaines autocaravanes, la boîte d'admission d'air du moteur pourrait être dépourvue d'un drain. Par conséquent, de l'eau pourrait s'accumuler à l'intérieur de la boîte d'admission d'air et pénétrer dans le moteur. Si cela se produisait, le moteur pourrait tomber en panne soudainement. Risques pour la sécurité : Une panne soudaine du moteur pourrait accroître le risque d'accident. Mesures correctives : L'entreprise doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur autocaravane chez un concessionnaire pour la faire inspecter et, au besoin, faire ajouter un drain à la boîte d'admission d'air du moteur.
