The issue

Issue: On certain vehicles, the window trim on the rear doors may not be properly attached. As a result, the window trim could loosen and separate from the vehicle. Note: This is an expansion of Transport Canada Recall 2022-509 Safety Risk: Window trim that detaches from the vehicle could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the window trim on the rear doors and repair them, if necessary.

Problème : Sur certains véhicules, la garniture de fenêtre des portes arrière pourrait ne pas être correctement fixée. Par conséquent, elle pourrait se desserrer et se détacher du véhicule. Remarque : Le présent rappel s'ajoute au rappel n° 2022-509 de Transports Canada. Risques pour la sécurité : Une garniture de fenêtre qui se détache du véhicule pourrait créer un danger pour les autres usagers de la route et augmenter le risque d'un accident. Mesures correctives : Mercedes-Benz doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire pour faire inspecter et réparer au besoin la garniture de fenêtre des portes arrière.
