The issue

Issue: On certain trucks, a problem with the engine control software could cause the throttle pedal not to work. If this happens, the truck could unexpectedly slow to idle speed while driving. Safety Risk: A truck that unexpectedly slows to idle speed could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Navistar will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the vehicle control software.

Problème : Sur certains camions, un problème au niveau du logiciel de contrôle du moteur pourrait empêcher la pédale d'accélérateur de fonctionner. Si cela se produisait, le camion pourrait soudainement ralentir au régime de ralenti pendant la conduite. Risques pour la sécurité : Un camion qui ralentit soudainement au régime de ralenti peut augmenter les risques d'accident. Mesures correctives : Navistar doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire pour faire mettre à jour le logiciel de contrôle du véhicule.
