The issue

Issue: On certain F-150 Lightning (electric) trucks, the rear lightbar could crack. If this happens, water could leak into the lightbar and cause the reverse lamps not to work, or they could flicker. Note: This recall only affects trucks with the Platinum or Lariat trim package. Safety Risk: Reverse lamps that don't work could cause others not to recognize when a vehicle is backing up, and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the rear lightbar.

Problème : Sur certains camions F-150 Lightning électriques, la barre de signalisation arrière pourrait se fissurer. Si cela se produisait, de l'eau pourrait s'infiltrer dans la barre de signalisation et les feux de marche arrière pourraient s'allumer par intermittence ou ne pas s'allumer du tout. Remarque : Le présent rappel vise les camions des versions Platinum et Lariat. Risques pour la sécurité : Si les feux de recul ne fonctionnent pas, une personne pourrait ne pas réaliser que le camion recule, ce qui augmenterait les risques d'accident. Mesures correctives : Ford doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire pour faire remplacer la barre de signalisation arrière.
