The issue

Issue: On certain vehicles, the bolts that attach the front-passenger airbag may not have been properly tightened. As a result, the airbag may not inflate properly in a crash. Safety Risk: An airbag that does not work properly could create an increased risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: Volvo will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, tighten the front-passenger airbag bolts.

Problème : Sur certains véhicules, les boulons de fixation du coussin gonflable du passager avant pourraient ne pas avoir été correctement serrés. Par conséquent, le coussin gonflable pourrait ne pas se gonfler adéquatement lors d'un accident. Risques pour la sécurité : Un coussin gonflable qui ne fonctionne pas correctement pourrait augmenter les risques de blessures en cas d'accident. Mesures correctives : Volvo doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire pour faire inspecter les boulons de fixation du coussin gonflable du passager avant et, au besoin, les faire serrer.
