The issue

Issue: On certain motorhomes, the wiring near the 12 V batteries may not have been routed and secured properly. As a result, the wiring could become damaged by contact with the battery brackets. If this happens, the wiring could short circuit and melt. Safety Risk: Wiring that overheats and melts could create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Winnebago will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, re-route and secure the wiring. If damage is found, the dealer will repair or replace the wiring, as necessary.

Problème : Sur certaines autocaravanes, le câblage à proximité des batteries de 12 V pourrait ne pas avoir été acheminé et fixé correctement. Par conséquent, le câblage pourrait être endommagé par le contact avec les supports de batterie. Si cela se produisait, le câblage pourrait subir un court-circuit et fondre. Risques pour la sécurité : Un câblage qui surchauffe ou fond peut créer un risque d'incendie. Mesures correctives : Winnebago doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur autocaravane chez un concessionnaire afin de faire inspecter et, si nécessaire, de faire réacheminer et fixer le câblage. Si des dommages sont constatés, le concessionnaire réparera ou remplacera le câblage.
