The issue

Issue: On certain transit buses, the clamps for the exhaust system may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the exhaust could contact nearby components and cause them to melt. Additionally, exhaust gases could leak into the bus. Safety Risk: Components that melt could create the risk of a fire. Exhaust gases that enter the bus could create the risk of injuries. Corrective Actions: Nova Bus will notify owners by mail and provide you with instructions for how to inspect and, if necessary, realign the exhaust system and tighten the clamps.

Problème : Sur certains autobus de transport en commun, les colliers du système d'échappement pourraient ne pas avoir été serrés adéquatement. Par conséquent, le tuyau d'échappement pourrait entrer en contact avec des composants adjacents et les faire fondre. De plus, des gaz d'échappement pourraient s'infiltrer dans l'autobus. Risques pour la sécurité : Des composants qui fondent pourraient créer un risque d'incendie. Une infiltration de gaz d'échappement pourrait créer un risque de blessure. Mesures correctives : Nova Bus doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur fournir des instructions pour inspecter le système d'échappement et, au besoin, pour en modifier la position et serrer les colliers.
