The issue

Issue: On certain motorhomes, the brackets that secure the propane tank could fail. As a result, the propane tank could become damaged and/or detach. If this happens, the tank could leak propane. Safety Risk: A propane gas leak could create the risk of a fire or explosion. Additionally, a propane tank that detaches from the motorhome could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the mounting brackets that secure the propane tank.

Problème : Sur certaines autocaravanes, les supports qui fixent la bouteille de propane pourraient faire défaut. Par conséquent, la bouteille de propane pourrait être endommagée et/ou se détacher. Si cela se produisait, du gaz propane pourrait fuir de la bouteille. Risque pour la sécurité : Une fuite de gaz propane pourrait créer un risque d'explosion ou d'incendie. De plus, une bouteille de propane qui se détache de l'autocaravane pourrait créer un danger pour les autres usagers de la route et accroître les risques d'accident. Mesures correctives : Forest River doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur autocaravane chez un concessionnaire pour faire inspecter et, au besoin, remplacer les supports qui fixent la bouteille de propane.
