The issue

Issue: On certain vehicles, the wrong bolt may have been used to attach the lower steering shaft to the steering gear. As a result, the connection could loosen and cause a loss of steering control. Safety Risk: A loss of steering control could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the lower steering shaft bolt.

Problème : Sur certains véhicules, le mauvais boulon pourrait avoir été utilisé pour fixer l'arbre de direction inférieur au boîtier de direction. Par conséquent, le boulon pourrait se desserrer et causer une perte de contrôle de la direction. Risques pour la sécurité : Une perte de contrôle de la direction pourrait accroître le risque d'accident. Mesure corrective : Ford doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire pour faire remplacer le boulon de l'arbre de direction inférieur.
