The issue

Issue: On certain transit buses, the ground connection on the bus bar in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) roof unit, may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the connection could loosen and overheat. This problem could also cause the engine to stall. Safety Risk: Wiring that overheats can create the risk of a fire. A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Nova Bus will notify owners by mail and provide you with instructions for how to inspect and, if necessary, tighten the ground connection.

Problème : Sur certains autobus de transport en commun, la connexion de masse de la barre omnibus de l'unité de toit CVC (chauffage, ventilation et climatisation) pourrait ne pas avoir été correctement serrée. Par conséquent, la connexion pourrait se desserrer et surchauffer. Ce problème pourrait également faire en sorte que le moteur cale. Risques pour la sécurité : Un câblage qui surchauffe peut créer un risque d'incendie. Une perte soudaine de puissance du moteur pourrait augmenter le risque d'accident. Mesures correctives : Nova Bus doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur fournir des instructions pour inspecter et, au besoin, resserrer la connexion de masse.
