The issue

Issue: On a small number of motorhomes, a 50 A circuit breaker may have been installed on the power sofa circuit instead of a 20 A circuit breaker. As a result, the wiring could overheat and melt before the circuit breaker trips. Safety Risk: Wiring that overheats or melts could create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Thor Motor Coach will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a dealership to inspect the breaker. If a 50 A circuit breaker was installed, it will be replaced with a 20 A circuit breaker.

Problème: Sur un petit nombre d'autocaravanes, un disjoncteur 50 A pourrait avoir été installé sur le circuit d'alimentation du canapé au lieu d'un disjoncteur 20 A. Par conséquent, le câblage pourrait surchauffer et fondre avant que le disjoncteur ne se déclenche. Risque pour la sécurité : Un câblage qui surchauffe ou fond peut créer un risque d'incendie. Mesures correctives : Thor Motor Coach doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur autocaravane chez un concessionnaire pour faire inspecter le disjoncteur. Si un disjoncteur 50 A était installé, il sera remplacé par un disjoncteur 20 A.
