The issue

Issue: On certain transit buses, dirt and moisture could enter the air intake and cause the controller for the auxiliary heater to short circuit. If this happens, the windshield defrost system may not work properly. Safety Risk: A short circuit can create a fire risk. A windshield defroster that doesn't work could cause reduced visibility and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Nova Bus will notify owners by mail and provide you with instructions for how to repair the auxiliary heater air intake.

Problème : Sur certains autobus de ville, de la saleté et de l'humidité pourraient pénétrer dans la prise d'air et provoquer un court-circuit du contrôleur du chauffage auxiliaire. Si cela se produisait, le système de dégivrage du pare-brise pourrait ne pas fonctionner adéquatement. Risques pour la sécurité : Un court-circuit pourrait créer un risque d'incendie. Un dégivreur de pare-brise qui ne fonctionne pas pourrait réduire la visibilité et augmenter le risque d'un accident. Mesures correctives : Nova Bus doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur fournir des instructions sur la façon de réparer la prise d'air du chauffage auxiliaire.
