The issue

Issue: On certain school buses, under certain conditions, the ignition interlock system may not work properly. As a result, you may be able to start the engine even if the rear emergency door is locked. Safety Risk: A locked emergency door could delay passengers from leaving the bus in an emergency. This could create a risk of injury. Corrective Action: Micro Bird will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your school bus to a dealership to repair the ignition interlock system.

Problème : Sur certains autobus scolaires, le système anti-démarrage pourrait ne pas fonctionner correctement dans certaines conditions. Par conséquent, il pourrait être possible démarrer le moteur même si la porte de secours arrière est verrouillée. Risque pour la sécurité : Une porte de secours verrouillée pourrait retarder l'évacuation des passagers en cas d'urgence. Cela pourrait créer un risque de blessure. Mesures correctives : Micro Bird doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur autobus scolaire chez un concessionnaire pour faire réparer le système anti-démarrage.
