The issue

Issue: On certain RV trailers, the solar panel may not have been wired correctly to the solar controller. As a result, the wiring could overheat and melt and cause a short circuit. Safety Risk: A short circuit can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Forest River advises not to use the solar power system until the recall repairs are completed. Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your trailer to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, correct the wiring for the solar panel.

Problème : Sur certaines caravanes, le panneau solaire pourrait avoir été mal câblé. Par conséquent, le câblage pourrait surchauffer et fondre et provoquer un court-circuit. Risques pour la sécurité : Un court-circuit peut créer un risque d'incendie. Mesures correctives : Afin de réduire les risques pour la sécurité, Forest River recommande de ne pas utiliser le système d'énergie solaire jusqu'à ce que les réparations dans le cadre du présent rappel aient été effectuées. Forest River doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'apporter leur caravane chez un concessionnaire pour faire inspecter et, au besoin, corriger le câblage du panneau solaire.
