The issue

Issue: On certain RV trailers, the solar panel may not have been wired correctly. As a result, the wiring could overheat and melt, and cause a short circuit. Safety Risk: A short circuit can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Forest River advises you to disconnect the solar panel from the battery until the recall repairs are completed. Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your trailer to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, rewire the solar panel.

Problème : Sur certaines caravanes, le panneau solaire pourrait avoir été mal câblé. Par conséquent, le câblage pourrait surchauffer et fondre, et provoquer un court-circuit. Risques pour la sécurité : Un court-circuit peut créer un risque d'incendie. Mesures correctives : Afin de réduire les risques pour la sécurité, Forest River recommande de déconnecter le panneau solaire jusqu'à ce que les réparations dans le cadre du présent rappel aient été effectuées. Forest River doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'apporter leur caravane chez un concessionnaire pour faire inspecter et, au besoin, recâbler le panneau solaire.
