The issue

Issue: On certain trucks, the bolt used to attach the lower steering shaft to the steering gear may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the connection could loosen and cause a loss of steering control. Safety Risk: A loss of steering control could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the lower steering shaft bolt.

Problème : Sur certains camions, le boulon utilisé pour fixer l'arbre de direction inférieur au boîtier de direction pourrait ne pas avoir été serré correctement. Par conséquent, la connexion pourrait se desserrer et entraîner une perte de contrôle de la direction. Risques pour la sécurité : Une perte de contrôle de la direction pourrait augmenter le risque d'accident. Mesures correctives : Ford doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur camion chez un concessionnaire pour faire inspecter et, au besoin, remplacer le boulon de l'arbre de direction inférieur.
