The issue

Issue: On certain transit buses, a software problem could cause a turn signal indicator to turn on even if the turn signals aren't being used. As a result, the buses may not meet certain requirements of Canadian regulations. Safety Risk: A turn signal indicator that doesn't work properly could create confusion and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Nova Bus will notify owners by mail and provide you with instructions for how to inspect and, if necessary, update the speedometer software.

Problème : Sur certains autobus de transport en commun, un problème de logiciel pourrait faire en sorte que le témoin des clignotants s'allume, même si ceux-ci ne sont pas utilisés. Par conséquent, les autobus pourraient ne pas respecter certaines exigences de la réglementation canadienne. Risques pour la sécurité : Un témoin des clignotants qui ne fonctionne pas correctement pourrait accroître les risques d'accident. Mesures correctives : Nova Bus doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur fournir des instructions pour inspecter et, au besoin, mettre à jour le logiciel de l'indicateur de vitesse.
