The issue

Issue: On certain transit buses, a software problem could cause a turn signal indicator light to stay on instead of flashing when a turn signal is used. As a result, the buses may not meet certain requirements of Canadian regulations. Safety Risk: A turn signal indicator that doesn't work properly could create confusion and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Nova Bus will notify owners by mail and provide you with instructions for how to inspect and, if necessary, update the digital display software.

Problème : Sur certains autobus de transport en commun, un problème logiciel pourrait faire en sorte que le voyant du clignotant reste allumé au lieu de clignoter lorsqu'un clignotant est utilisé. Par conséquent, les autobus pourraient ne pas respecter certaines exigences de la réglementation canadienne. Risques pour la sécurité : Un voyant de clignotant qui ne fonctionne pas correctement pourrait créer de la confusion et augmenter les risques d'accident. Mesures correctives : Nova Bus doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur fournir des instructions pour inspecter et, au besoin, mettre à jour le logiciel d'affichage numérique.
