The issue
This recall was replaced by Transport Canada recall no. 2026-348. Issue: On certain trucks, the cable connection at the battery auxiliary post could contact the hold-down bracket. If this happens, there could be a short circuit. Safety Risk: A short circuit could increase the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: International Motors will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to insulate the battery hold down bracket and install spacers between the batteries.

Ce rappel a été remplacé par le rappel numéro 2026-348 de Transports Canada. Problème : Sur certains camions, la connexion du câble avec la borne auxiliaire de la batterie pourrait entrer en contact avec le support de fixation. Si cela se produisait, il pourrait y avoir un court-circuit. Risques pour la sécurité : Un court-circuit pourrait accroître le risque d'incendie. Mesures correctives : International Motors doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur camion chez un concessionnaire pour faire isoler le support de fixation de la batterie et installer des cales d'espacement entre les batteries.
