The issue

Issue: On certain trucks, the bolt that secures the steering column to the steering shaft may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the bolt could loosen and cause a loss of steering control. Safety Risk: A loss of steering control could create a risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a DTNA authorized service facility to inspect and, if necessary, replace the steering column..

Problème : Sur certains camions, le boulon utilisé pour fixer la colonne de direction à l'arbre de direction pourrait ne pas avoir été serré correctement. Par conséquent, le boulon pourrait se desserrer et entraîner une perte de contrôle de la direction. Risques pour la sécurité : Une perte de contrôle de la direction pourrait créer un risque d'accident. Mesures correctives : Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur camion dans un centre de service autorisé DTNA pour faire inspecter et, au besoin, remplacer la colonne de direction.
