The issue

Issue: On certain vehicles, the rear driveshaft may not have been welded properly. As a result, the driveshaft could separate and cause a loss of power to the wheels. Note: This recall also affects certain incomplete vehicles. Safety Risk: A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the rear driveshaft.

Problème : Sur certains véhicules, l'arbre de transmission arrière pourrait ne pas avoir été soudé correctement. Par conséquent, l'arbre de transmission pourrait se séparer et entraîner une perte de puissance aux roues. Remarque: Ce rappel concerne également certains véhicules incomplets. Risques pour la sécurité : Une perte de puissance aux roues pourrait augmenter le risque d'accident. Mesures correctives : Ford doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire pour faire inspecter et, au besoin, remplacer l'arbre de transmission arrière.
