The issue

Issue: On certain vehicles, the connector for the driver-front airbag in the steering wheel could corrode. As a result, the driver-front airbag may not inflate in a crash. Note: This problem would cause the airbag warning light to turn on. Safety Risk: An airbag that doesn't work properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: Land Rover will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to apply grease to the driver's airbag connector terminals.

Problème : Sur certains véhicules, le connecteur du coussin gonflable avant côté conducteur situé dans le volant pourrait se corroder. Par conséquent, le coussin gonflable avant du côté conducteur pourrait ne pas se gonfler lors d'un accident. Remarque : Ce problème entraînerait l'allumage du témoin d'avertissement des coussins gonflables. Risques pour la sécurité : Un coussin gonflable qui ne fonctionne pas correctement pourrait augmenter le risque de blessures en cas d'accident. Mesures correctives : Land Rover doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire pour faire appliquer de la graisse sur les bornes du connecteur du coussin gonflable conducteur.
