The issue

Issue: On certain vehicles, a problem with the windshield wiper motor could cause it not to work properly in cold temperatures. If this happens, the windshield wipers may only operate at their high-speed setting and the windshield washing system may not work. Safety Risk: Windshield wipers and a windshield washing system that don't work properly can reduce visibility and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the windshield wiper motor.

Problème : Sur certains véhicules, un problème avec le moteur des essuie-glaces pourrait faire en sorte qu'il ne fonctionne pas correctement par temps froid. Si cela se produisait, les essuie-glaces pourraient ne fonctionner qu'à leur vitesse maximale et le système de lave-glace pourrait ne pas fonctionner. Risques pour la sécurité : Des essuie-glaces et un système de lave-glace qui ne fonctionnent pas correctement peuvent réduire la visibilité et augmenter le risque d'accident. Mesures correctives : Ford doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire pour faire inspecter et, au besoin, remplacer le moteur des essuie-glaces.
