The issue

Issue: On certain vehicles, the recall repairs completed by a BMW dealer during Transport Canada recall number 2024-456 may not have been done correctly. As a result, another repair is required. On certain vehicles, a problem with the integrated brake system could cause reduced power brake assist. As a result, there may be reduced braking, and the antilock braking system (ABS) and dynamic stability control (DSC) may not work. Safety Risk: Reduced braking can cause extended stopping distances and could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, antilock brakes and stability control systems that don't work could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the integrated brake system.

Problème : Sur certains véhicules, les réparations effectuées par un concessionnaire BMW dans le cadre du rappel numéro 2024-456 de Transports Canada pourraient ne pas avoir été complétées correctement. Par conséquent, une autre réparation est nécessaire. Sur certains véhicules, un problème avec le système de freinage intégré pourrait réduire l'assistance au freinage.
