The issue

Issue: On certain motorcycles, the handlebar lock screw may not have been installed properly. As a result, the screw could loosen and fall between the frame and the steering stem. If this happens, the screw could interfere with the steering and cause a loss of steering control. Note: This recall is an expansion of Transport Canada recall no. 2026-114. Safety Risk: A loss of steering control could create the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Honda will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to replace the handlebar lock screw and apply a thread-locking compound.

Problème : Sur certaines motocyclettes, la vis de blocage du guidon pourrait ne pas avoir été installée correctement. Par conséquent, la vis pourrait se desserrer et tomber entre le cadre et la colonne de direction. Si cela se produisait, la vis pourrait nuire à la direction et causer une perte de contrôle. Remarque : Ce rappel s'ajoute au rappel de Transports Canada numéro 2026-114. Risques pour la sécurité : Une perte de contrôle de la direction pourrait créer un risque d'accident. Mesures correctives : Honda doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur motocyclette chez un concessionnaire pour faire remplacer la vis de blocage du guidon et appliquer un adhésif frein-filet.
