The issue

Issue: On certain vehicles, one of the bolts that attaches the steering rack to the subframe could corrode and break. If this happens, the steering rack housing could break and cause a loss of steering control. Safety Risk: A loss of steering control could create a risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the right steering rack mounting bolt.

Problème : Sur certains véhicules, un des boulons fixant la crémaillère au sous-châssis pourrait corroder et se briser. Si cela se produisait, le boîtier de la crémaillère pourrait se briser et causer une perte de contrôle de la direction. Risques pour la sécurité : Une perte de contrôle de la direction pourrait créer un risque d'accident. Mesures correctives : L'entreprise doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire pour faire remplacer le boulon de fixation droit de la crémaillère.
