The risk
This product poses a serious risk of injuries because it may be possible for the front shock absorber to move in its lower mounting. Movement of the shock absorber in its lower mounting could possibly result in the tyre contacting the wheel arch, or in the case of FWD vehicles, the shock absorber contacting the driveshaft, worsening the vehicle’s road behaviour.
Product: The recall (No 7C108) concerns Ford New Transit (FWD & RWD) vehicles produced from 21 October 2005 to 27 April 2007 (produced in Otosan, Turkey) and from 1 December 2005 to 27 April 2007 (produced in Southampton, UK).
