The risk
A potential out-of-specification casting dimension on the heat sink of the electric power steering (EPS) control unit has been identified. As a result of this dimensional issue, with continued use and in extreme cases, the EPS motor may no longer function. If this occurs, the driver will experience a sudden loss of power steering assistance which could lead to an accident.
