Fatal crashes in the US

From 2020 to 2023, 54 Spyder vehicles were involved in crashes on US public roads in which someone died, and 56 people died inside them. These are counts, not crash rates: a model with more cars on the road shows up more often, and people killed outside the vehicle are not counted here.

A12/1606/13 · Fire22 Nov 2013 · Spyder Roadster

The connector of the tandem brake master cylinder may melt and brake fluid may drip on to a heat source as a consequence. This may lead to a vehicle fire, even after the vehicle has been parked.

A12/0257/13 · Fire1 Mar 2013 · Spyder

Under certain circumstances there may be leakage of fuel vapour from the vent hose of the fuel vapour canister in the closed engine compartment. If the fuel vapour comes into contact with an ignition source, it could ignite causing a fire.

A12/0258/13 · Fire1 Mar 2013 · Spyder
