The issue
On certain Cadillac limousine, the front lower control arm balljoint to steering knuckle attaching nuts may not have been tightened to specifications. Under certain conditions, this could cause the nut to back off, resulting in separation of the joint. If joint separation were to occur while the vehicle is in motion, it would affect directional control which could result in vehicle crash without prior warning.

Sur certains Cadillac limousine, les écrous fixant les rotules des bras de commande inférieurs avant aux fusées de direction peuvent ne pas avoir été serrés au couple spécifié. Dans certaines circonstances, ces écrous peuvent se desserrer et entraîner la séparation du joint. Si cette séparation se produit durant la circulation, elle peut provoquer la perte de maîtrise du volant et causer un accident.
