The issue
On certain Audi 200 turbo and 5000 turbo, the fuel injector seals may harden due to high temperature and alcohol in fuel. This could allow fuel to escape and leak into the engine compartment as a result of turbo pressure. Fuel escaping in this manner could drop onto hot engine components and cause a fire. Correction: Fuel injector seals will be replaced with improved seals, fuel lines will be replaced with fire resistant fuel lines and the sound proofing pad will be replaced with an improved surface treated non- flammable pad. Also, measures will be taken to better seal the engine against lubricant leakage.

Sur certaines Audi 200 turbo et 5000 turbo, les joints d'étanchéité des injecteurs de carburant peuvent durcir à haute température ou si de l'alcool est présent dans le carburant. Par conséquent, la pression du turbocompresseur peut causer une fuite de carburant dans le compartiment moteur. Le carburant s'échappant de cette façon peut dégoutter sur des parties chaudes du moteur et causer un incendie.
