The issue

VEHICLES MAY HAVE BEEN BUILT WITH AN INCORRECT STEERING WHEEL RETAINER RING WHICH MAY FAIL IN SERVICE AND ALLOW THE STEERING WHEEL TO SEPARATE FROM THE STEERING COLUMN. THIS WOULD RESULT IN LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL AND A POSSIBLE CRASH. CORRECTION: CORRECT STEERING WHEEL RETAINER RING WILL BE INSTALLED ON AFFECTED VEHICLES.

Le constructeur peut avoir posé le mauvais anneau de retenue sur le volant de ces véhicules. Le volant risque de se détacher de la colonne de direction, ce qui peut entraîner une perte de maîtrise de la direction et un accident.
