The issue

ON VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH 16 VALVE ENGINES, EXCESSIVE TENSI0N COULD CAUSE THE POWER STEERING PUMP BRACKET TO BREAK WHICH WOULD LOOSEN THE PUMP AND AND ALLOW THE DRIVE BELT TO SLIP. AS A RESULT, THE STEERING FORCE NEEDED TO MANOEVER THE VEHICLE COULD UNEXPECTEDLY INCREASE RESULTING IN POSSIBLE LOSS OF DRIVER CONTROL AND A VEHICLE CRASH. CORRECTION: POWER STEERING PUMP BRACKET WILL BE REPLACED.

Sur les véhicules dotés d'un moteur à 16 soupapes, le support de la pompe de servodirection risque de céder sous l'action d'efforts de traction excessifs et de dégager la pompe, ce qui entraînerait le glissement de la courroie d'entraînement. La force nécessaire pour manoeuvrer le volant pourrait augmenter soudainement et causer la perte de maîtrise du véhicule, voire un accident.
