The issue

NOTE: LEBARON COUPES AND CONVERTIBLES ONLY. THE OWNER'S MANUAL INCORRECTLY STATES THAT FRONT PASSENGER DOORS ONCE LOCKED CANNOT BE OPENED FROM THE INSIDE UNTIL THE LOCK CONTROL HAS BEEN PULLED UP. ON THE LISTED VEHICLES, THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR CAN BE OPENED BY THE INSIDE DOOR HANDLE EVEN IF THE DOOR IS LOCKED. THE STATEMENT IN THE OWNER'S MANUAL MAY GIVE FRONT SEAT PASSENGERS A FALSE SENSE OF SECURITY. CORRECTION: OWNERS WILL BE NOTIFIED AS TO HOW THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR LOCK SYSTEM ACTUALLY OPERATES AND REQUESTED TO ALERT OTHERS THAT MAY USE THEIR CAR.

Le manuel de l'utilisateur indique qu'une fois la porte du passager avant verrouillée elle ne peut être ouverte de l'intérieur si la commande de verrouillage n'est pas soulevée. C'est faux. Sur les modèles mentionnés, la porte du passager avant peut être ouverte de l'intérieur au moyen de la pognée, même si la porte est verrouillée. Cet énoncé du manuel peut donner au passager avant un faux sentiment de sécurité.
