The issue

On certain 740I, 740IL and 750IL vehicles, the lower suspension arm mounting eye on the right side rear axle hub carrier could have a casting flaw. It is possible that the carrier eye could crack and break during driving. If this were to occur, the right rear wheel would no longer function as designed and the driver's ability to maintain control of the vehicle would be considerably reduced. Correction: Right side rear axle hub carrier will be inspected for the presence of the casting flaw and replaced if the flaw is present.

Sur certaines BMW 740I, 740IL et 750IL, l'oeilteton de montage du bras de suspension inférieur du porte-moyeu de l'essieu arrière droit peut avoir un défaut de moulage. Il se peut en effet que l'oeilleton de montage se fissure et se brise durant la conduite. Le cas échéant, la roue arrière droite ne roulerait plus comme prévu et la capacité du conducteur à garder la maîtrise de son véhicule s'en trouverait considérablement réduite. CORRECTION: Le porte-moyeu de l'essieu arrière droit devra être inspecté pour voir s'il ne comporterait pas de défauts de moulage et il devra être remplacé si c'est le cas.
