The issue

On certain trucks, the suspension equalizing beam shaft could fracture inside the beam at the toe of the weld due to the use of a non-conforming shaft. A single shaft failure could cause the transverse beam to come into contact with the roadway, generating sparks that, in combination with other events, would affect motor vehicle safety. Correction: All equalizing beams with non-conforming shafts will be replaced with beams containing appropriate shafts.

Sur certains camions, la tige de la poutre d’équilibrage de la suspension n’est pas conforme aux devis et peut se briser au bord de la soudure à l’intérieur de la poutre. Le bris d’une seule tige peut faire en sorte que la poutre transversale entre en contact avec la chaussée et produise des étincelles qui, en combinaison avec d’autres facteurs, peuvent mettre la sécurité du véhicule en danger. Correction: Toutes les poutres d’équilibrage non conformes devront être remplacées.
