The issue
NOTE: COMPETITION MOTORCYCLES. UNDER CERTAIN COMPETITIVE RIDING CONDITIONS, THE FOOTRESTS MAY CRACK IN THE AREA SURROUNDING THE PIVOT PIN. CONTINUED RIDING WILL RESULT IN THE FOOTREST SEPARATING FROM THE FRAME. THIS COULD CAUSE THE RIDER TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE MOTORCYCLE. CORRECTION: NEW FOOTRESTS WILL BE INSTALLED ON AFFECTED VEHICLES.
