The issue

On certain vehicles, the steering wheel could become loose on the steering shaft due to insufficient torque on the steering wheel retaining nut. This could result in loss of steering control and a crash without prior warning. Correction: Dealers will inspect the steering wheel retaining nut for correct torque and tighten as necessary.

Sur certains véhicules, il se peut que le volant prenne du jeu parce que l’écrou de retenue n’a pas été suffisamment serré sur la colonne de direction. Il se pourrait alors que le conducteur perde la maîtrise de la direction et soit victime d’un accident. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront vérifier si l’écrou de retenue du volant est serré au couple et ils devront refaire le serrage le cas échéant.
