The issue

On certain vehicles, incorrect application of anti-rust coating (PVC) to the transverse link mounting surface can eventually result in a torque decrease of the bolt that secures the transverse link bracket to the vehicle body. Insufficient torque on the bracket bolts can result in loosening of the bracket and subsequent separation of the transverse link from the vehicle frame. Correction: Vehicles will be inspected and if necessary, PVC will be removed from the vehicle body under the transverse link mounting bracket bolt location and mounting bolts will be retorqued to specification.

Sur certains véhicules, l’application incorrecte du revêtement antirouille en PVC sur la surface de montage du bras transversal peut éventuellement entraîner une réduction du couple de serrage du boulon qui fixe le support du bras transversal à la carrosserie du véhicule. Si le boulon se desserre, il se peut que le support prenne du jeu et que le bras transversal se détache de la carrosserie. Correction : On devra inspecter les véhicules et, le cas échéant, enlever le revêtement en PVC de l’endroit où se trouve le boulon du support de montage du bras transversal sur la carrosserie avant de resserrer le boulon de montage au couple prévu.
