The issue
On certain trucks a capacitor in the power line carrier (PLC) filter can ignite when subject to reverse polarity electrical spikes. The PLC filter is located inside the left side frame rail just forward of the back of the cab/sleeper in close proximity to electrical and brake lines. Correction: Dealers will disconnect and secure the PLC filter ground wire.

Sur certains camions, un condensateur du filtre du câble de communication principal (CCP) peut prendre feu lorsque soumis à des pointes de tension électrique en polarité inversée. Le filtre du CCP est monté sur l'intérieur du longeron de cadre gauche, juste en avant de l'arrière de la cabine/couchette, tout près des câbles électriques et des canalisations de freinage. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront débrancher et fixer solidement le fil de masse du filtre du CCP.
