The issue

As a Customer Satisfaction Campaign DaimlerChrysler has initiated the following action: With certain Grand Cherokees, if a driver has not placed the shifter lever fully into the "park" position and leaves the vehicle running, the vehicle may unexpectedly move rearward after seeming to be stable. Inadvertent movement of the vehicle could result in a crash. Correction: Dealers will install a secondary detent system to the floor shifter assembly.

Dans le cadre d'un programme de satisfaction du client, DaimlerChrysler a émis l'avertissement suivant : sur certaines Grand Cherokee, si le conducteur n'a pas bien engagé le levier de vitesses dans la position de stationnement (PARK) et a laissé le moteur tourner, il se peut qu'après une brève période d'immobilité le véhicule se mettre inopinément en marche arrière et qu'un accident s'ensuive. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront installer un système de détente d'appoint sur le levier de vitesses.
