The issue
Certain passenger vehicles fail to conform to the requirements of CMVSS no. 201, "occupant protection in interior impact." In the event of a crash in which the air bags do not deploy, there is a possibility of increased head injury to the front seat passenger should contact with the passenger side air bag cover occur. Correction: Dealers will install new energy absorbing air bag mounting brackets.

Certaines voitures de tourisme ne satisfont pas aux exigences de la NSVAC 201 - Protection des occupants. Dans l'éventualité d'une collision au cours de laquelle les coussins gonflables ne sont pas déployés, il y a risque accru de blessure à la tête pour le passager avant s'il entre en contact avec le couvercle du coussin gonflable. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront poser des supports de montage pour coussins gonflables à absorption d'énergie.
