The issue

Certain vehicles clutch rods are failing from fatigue near the turnbuckle due to bending moments experienced during each pedal cycle. The clutch rod can break without warning and make it difficult to shift and if the clutch rod breaks while the vehicle is stopped, the vehicle may lunge unexpectedly in the direction of the selected gear. Correction: Dealers will replace the clutch rod assembly with a solid rod design that does not have a turnbuckle.

Sur certains véhicules, les tringles d'embrayage se rompent par fatigue près du tendeur suite aux moments de flexion qui se produisent à chaque embrayage. Elles peuvent se briser sans avertissement et rendre les manœuvres d'embrayage extrêmement difficiles; et si une tringle se brise alors que le véhicule est arrêté, il se peut que ce dernier fasse subitement un soubresaut dans la direction du rapport engagé. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer la tringle d'embrayage par une tringle toute d'une pièce, qui ne comporte pas de tendeur.
