The issue
On certain motorcycles, the wire that provides power to the horn, due to misrouting, can become frayed from contact with the horn bracket mounting bolt. As a result the horn wire may become exposed, and when the horn button is pushed, either the horn circuit fuse or the key switch fuse can blow. If the key switch blows, the horn and the rear brake light will no longer function, and a "quit while riding" situation will be created. A "quit while riding" situation could result in a crash. If the horn fuse blows, there will be a loss of power to the horn and rear brake light. Correction: Dealer will inspect and correct the wire routing, if necessary.

Sur certaines motocyclettes, le fil qui alimente le klaxon en électricité a été mal acheminé et pourrait s'user au contact du boulon de fixation du support du klaxon. En conséquence, le fil du klaxon pourrait être dénudé et, lorsque le bouton du klaxon est enfoncé, le fusible du circuit du klaxon ou celui de l'interrupteur à clé pourrait sauter. Si le fusible de l'interrupteur saute, le klaxon et le feu de freinage arrière ne fonctionneront plus, et le moteur calerait, ce qui pourrait causer un accident. Si le fusible du klaxon saute, il y aura une panne de courant au niveau du klaxon et du feu de freinage arrière. Correction : Si nécessaire, le concessionnaire devra inspecter et corriger l'acheminement du fil.
